I gave the facility a low rating based solely on the receptionist. The rest of the staff I encountered are extremely pleasant and caring. A receptionist is most likely the first person one encounters at a facility, and they have someone that is not a good fit. He's rude and was cursing while complaining about his job today. It sets a negative and unprofessional tone for the entire facility.

If you feel you haven't been traumatized by your life enough, you should certainly try Highland Hospital. Initially they told me I will be allowed to mingle with other patients, while all they did was keep me in solitary confinement for two weeks straight and the first week i did not even see the light. I must say that i have found new respect for life, but only after losing it. 5 stars just to help me realize that life should be appreciated.

Highland helped me a lot I went through serious trauma and it helped. Some of the staff were rude at least one of them but I’m pretty sure there was a reason. I was on tween unit. I was about 10. I just came from a bad foster home who accused me of stuff. My dr. there was awesome, the staff were awesome. Food was okay at times. Beds were comfy. I wish I could find the staff that I loved that worked there. I found Denise, one of the sweetest people there. Snacks are great. The workers help you cope. I had a wonderful theripast. I did not see abuse there. Only thing they did was hold you down tie down if they needed to. Shots were recommended by doctors if you were acting up so much that they couldn’t handle you. I soon got out went to a facility in Nashville Tennessee called Hermatige Hall, wonderful place somewhat, met a girl that went to Highland and then went to Hermatige Hall lives in Charleston WV I guess wish I could find my old friends and staff that I loved truly. I called the staff by name or I called them mom dad uncle aunt grandma anything. Art was amazing. I loved the teacher. And I really hope it hasn’t changed since people bought it. I was there in like 2015 probably some of 2016. But it was awesome. My old name was Katelynne Dicken. It is now KAYLEE Thomasson. I was adopted and wanted to change my name. Please if you are staff or my old friends plz plz plz contact me and let me know who u are. I miss y’all truly.😍

I completed the 7 day detox and have been doing awesome ever since! Great staff and care. The bad reviews on here only come from people who didnt want it otherwise if they wanted it, they would've realized how well it helped. Thank you Highland for all the encouragement to live a better life. I do appreciate you!
